Dr. Jane Garner discusses her recent PhD research into Australian prisoners’ lived experiences of their libraries and the role that these services play in their lives. Jane conducted her research through interviews with both correctional facility staff and prisoners, across three states and territories and explores the experience of Australian prisoners who make use of their prison library. It is a truly fascinating look into a community that is in such great need of these services.
