cardiCast episode 72 – Megan Cassar

In this episode of cardiCast, Megan Cassar, Project Manager, Exhibitions at the National Communications Museum shares what it has been like to manage the development of a new museum due to open in 2022 during a pandemic. Megan also reflects on how she started out as a forensic photography student at RMIT, moved into publishing textbooks, then volunteered at Melbourne Museum which led to working as an Operations Coordinator for the Pauline Gandel Children’s Gallery, then later Project Managing the Exhibition Productions team at Museums Victoria, moving in to work as a Production Coordinator at the Science Gallery at University of Melbourne, then finally her current role at the National Communications Museum. Megan also discussed how work in her field is often contract based, which is always difficult in uncertain times that we are living in. Perhaps a lesson learned from Megan is to follow your passion and see where it takes you.
