cardiParty 2019.03 Melbourne – ALGA

Registration is closed for this event
Our March cardiParty in Melbourne will be at the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives (ALGA)!

In 2018 ALGA celebrated 40 years of collecting Australian LGBTIQ+ histories. It’s a fabulous achievement for a small, predominantly volunteer run, community archives who continue to animate shared LGBTIQ+ histories through exhibitions, publications, history walks, conferences, collaborations, research access and beyond. You will have the opportunity to hear from committee members and volunteers about their work and plans for the future, learn more about the importance of community archives and how mainstream GLAM institutions may be able to collaborate with them, see a bit of their collection, and of course, continue the conversation at the pub afterwards.
