cardiParty 2019-05 Melbourne – Some Shallow Thoughts on Deep Time

Registration is closed for this event
Join Wayne Gerdtz for a wander through 600 million years of life, discussing not only the cast members of Melbourne Museum’s “Dinosaur Walk” and “600 Million Years” exhibitions, but also revealing some of the skeletons in the closet for the material on display, offering a practical view of how the exhibitions were developed.

Wayne Gerdtz is an Information Officer in Museums Victoria’s Research & Collections Division, Science Communicator and Vertebrate Palaeontologist with special interest in the evolution of Australia’s marsupials. He was Curator for Melbourne Museum’s Science & Life Gallery redevelopment in 2009, delivering the ‘Dinosaur Walk’, ‘Wild’, ‘600 Million Years’ and ‘Dynamic Earth’ exhibitions.

Meet in the foyer at 1:45pm – tour will start at 2pm sharp (we will be taking the group through for a free visit to the museum, and Wayne will have lots to cover in the short time we have together, so please don’t be late!)
