cardiParty 2020.8 Online

LibraryCraft – Online Event

Registration is closed for this event
LibraryCraft is a Minecraft server created by John Geijsman, Children’s Librarian at Fremantle Library. It allows young people to create, play, and explore Minecraft safely.

Join us for our first completly online cardiParty as John takes us through the project, the tools used to moderate and maintain the server, and his experiances setting up and running LibraryCraft.

Note: This event will be held at 6pm WST.

Getting There

Discord – We are running this event over Discord (one of the main tools used by LibraryCraft to moderate). You will need to create a Discord account and access it via their web interface, or dedicated iOS, Android, Mac, or PC app. For those new to Discord this guide will help.

Once you have an account and your prefered app, you can then join the newCardigan Discord server. We will send out a link a few days before the event, so keep an eye on your emails.

Accessibility

Unfortunatly we can’t close caption this event, however you may be able to use a web captioner to create subtitles (YMMV).

You can however wear PJs to a cardiParty and not be judged by anyone (FINALLY!).

Continue the conversation

If people want to hang out and chat in the Discord server afterwards we’ll leave it open. BYOB.
