cardiCast episode 43 – We Need Books and ECHO Refugee Library – Greece interviews
Melbourne newCardigan Interview 2018
Recorded Live in Athens, Greece
The second in our special cardiCast ‘Summer Series’…
Ioanna Nissiriou – We Need Books – and Varvara Svoronou – ECHO Refugee Library – speak with Justine Hanna about their work helping support refugees in Athens. These interviews were recorded in the We Need Books brand new Multicultural Library, which opened in early October 2018.
Both organisations are working to create inclusive communities and provide access to knowledge for vulnerable and minority groups.
The ”interlude” music was performed by a group of musician friends enjoying coffee together and was recorded live whilst eating delicious souvlaki on a tiny street in Athens.
We know this is a longer episode than usual, however we think the content is worth the listen!
If you are interested in these projects and would like to help or support their work in any way, please visit their websites for contact details.
